Downloading Rates

There are several ways to download rates:

  • Multiple structure rate download allows you to use a shopping cart approach and multiple rate record structures to download less then 1,000 rates:
    • Sourcing > Rate Maintenance > Manage Rate Load Definition > Actions > Multiple Structure Rate Download
    • Sourcing > Rate Maintenance > Manage Rate Load Definition > Edit > Actions > Multiple Structure Rate Download
  • Download without rates allows you to use a shopping cart approach and multiple rate record structures to download an empty spreadsheet:
    • Sourcing > Rate Maintenance > Manage Rate Load Definition > Actions > Download without Rates
    • Sourcing > Rate Maintenance > Manage Rate Load Definition > Edit > Actions > Download without Rates

Note: Column headings and sub-headings in the downloaded spreadsheet will always match what is defined on the rate load definition. So if you download a rate record and associated rate offering that has different options selected than the template rate offering, you will only see the columns as specified in the rate load definition.

You can download a spreadsheet either without rates or with rates:

  • If you download without rates, you get a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with all of the appropriate columns and headings based on rate load definition. However, there is no data in most of these columns other than the headings. The Cost Parameters sheet will contain Template Cost Parameter # entries depending on how many costs are in the template rate.
  • If you use multiple structure rate download, you get a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with all of the appropriate columns and headings based on rate load definition. A row is included in the spreadsheet for each rate record selected when downloading rates. The Cost Parameters sheet contains cost details from both the template rate and downloaded rates.

Note: The spreadsheet is a Microsoft Office 2007 file with the extension .xlsx. You must save the file as Excel Workbook (*xlsx) format. The file format .xls is not supported by Oracle Transportation Management.
