Allocation Rule Profile

This page is accessed via Financials > Allocation Rule Management > Allocation Rule Profile.

An allocation rule profile is an ordered list of allocation rule that governs how planned and vouchered (actual) transportation costs are allocated. You can create a default allocation rule profile, as well as allocation rule profiles to be applied to specific service providers as service provider attributes.

Allocation rule profiles are used by the following actions and processes:

• the Allocate Cost action in the Shipment Manager
• the Allocate Issued Voucher action in the Payment Invoice Manager
• the Bulk Allocation process in the Process Manager

Adding an Allocation Rule Profile:

1. The Allocation Rule Profile ID uniquely identifies the profile. The IDs of saved profiles cannot be edited. The Description provides more identifying information about the profile.
2. The Default allocation rule profile governs allocation for all service providers that have not been assigned a specific allocation rule profile as a service provider attribute.
3. Enter one or more Allocation Rule ID, and click Save after each entry. The sequence of the allocation rules in a profile determines the order in which they will be used.
4. To change or delete an allocation rule from the profile, click Edit or Delete.
5. When the allocation rules that you want are saved, click Finished.
