Redwood: Smart Search Results

You can use Results pages to perform the following tasks (depending on the business object):

  • Review the list of resulting records.
  • Edit a record inline on the results page.
  • Navigate to the manager for record to make edits.
  • Delete one or more records.
  • Execute a new filter or saved query.

The results section of the page displays the records that result from the default search with does not use any filters.

The following icons appear on each Results page:

  • An image of the Add button which is a plus sign followed by the word Add. (Add button): click to add a new record.
  • An image of the view icon with is a pair of glasses. View
  • If the record is editable inline, An image of the edit icon which is pencil. (Edit) and you can edit any fields that are set to Editable in the screen set.
  • Click the An image of the edit icon which is pencil. (Edit) and then you see three icons. Click An image of the second level Edit icon which is a wrench with a pencil on top of it. (Edit) to open the record in an edit page.
  • An image of the Delete icon which is a trash can with a small x in the lower right-hand corner. Delete

New Business Object

Click An image of the Add button which is a plus sign followed by the word Add. (Add) to create a business object and display the first data-entry page for an object that you want to create.

View Business Object

Click An image of the view icon with is a pair of glasses. (View) to display a summary page for the selected business object.

Edit Business Object

Click An image of the edit icon which is pencil. (Edit) either edit the object inline in the results table. Or, click to display three icons one of which is  An image of the second level Edit icon which is a wrench with a pencil on top of it. (Edit) to view the original data entry page for selected business object.

Always click the Submit button at the top of any page to save changes for all records that you have edited.

Note: Some page sections have Save buttons that save the data just for that section (or grid). However, always use the Submit button to save all of your modifications to the database.

Deleting Business Objects

Click An image of the Delete icon which is a trash can with a small x in the lower right-hand corner. (Delete) to delete the selected business object.
