Administrator Feedback

Search Space Experts can influence search target retrieval by rewarding accurate matches and suppressing noisy matches.

Feedback from Search Space Experts is recorded against the draft search space version, or against a published version when Settings > Edit Published Versions? is set to Yes. For staged changes, review feedback in the draft before publishing.

  1. In the Admin app, run italian page views in Query Tester or review a recorded query under Dashboard > Telemetry. Inspect the returned targets. If Total Page Views should match the query, select Upvote for that target in the selected search space version.

  2. Re-run italian page views in Query Tester and compare the results. Check whether Total Page Views is ranked appropriately for the question. The returned targets and their order can also depend on other catalog content, settings, and feedback, so review the result rather than assuming a particular rank.

Select Downvote when a returned Search Target is not of interest for that particular query. If a target that should match is missing from the results, use Choose Another Target to select and upvote it. These administrator assessments help improve matches for similar queries.

Users can report an unsuccessful search through the final option in the search widget’s results list. In the illustrated integration, the option is labeled I didn’t find the report I was looking for. See Widget Visuals.

Review these reports on Dashboard > Telemetry > User-Reported Unsuccessful Searches. See Monitor Search Activity with Telemetry for the chart, summary metrics, and search activity reports.

For optional LLM re-ranking, see Configure LLM Re-ranking for a Search Space.
