Understand the Lakehouse integration

Autonomous AI Lakehouse data is the natural starting point for an Essbase application. You do not need to create or administer a federated partition as described for the Marketplace Essbase offering.

Instead, design the Essbase business model and prepare the Lakehouse data so that it corresponds to the dimensions, members, hierarchies, and measures in the cube.

All cubes in Essbase on Autonomous AI Lakehouse are federated cubes.

However, you do not create or administer a federated partition as described for an Essbase deployment from OCI Marketplace.

If the application requires data outside the Lakehouse, you can use supported Essbase connections and Datasources.

Note:

Generic JDBC drivers cannot be uploaded for use with Essbase on Autonomous AI Lakehouse.

For file-based data loads, DBMS-formatted source files are recommended for efficient loading. See Prepare Data for Analysis.
