View 3D File Attachments in Unifier Viewer (Cloud Only)

You can use Unifier Viewer to upload and attach 3D files such as media, drawings, documents, and models from your local system. For a list of supported file formats, see File Viewer Option.

To view 3D files:

  1. Go to a project/shell tab, and switch to User mode.
  2. Select a 3D file from your local system or

    In the left Navigator, select any of the following nodes:

    • Select Document Manager, and then select Documents.
    • Select Document Manager, and then select Unpublished Documents.
    • Select Tasks, and open a business process:
      1. Select the Attachments tab, and then select a 3D file attachment.
      2. Right-click a 3D file, and then select Open.
  3. In the 3D Files tab, select a 3D file to open it.

    Note:

    • You can select and open up to 100 3D files simultaneously in a single viewing window. To do this in Unifier Viewer, select the option to open files, and then select the 3D files you want to view from the list. Check the boxes next to the files you want to include and select Update Viewer. To remove a 3D file from the combined view, uncheck the box next to the filename, and select Update Viewer again. To retrieve the latest status from the database, select Recheck Virus Scan Status.
    • Some 3D files may take longer to open if they are large or complex. When you upload a large 3D file, Unifier checks whether the file meets the criteria for background preprocessing, allowing you to view it more quickly. If a file appears as "Being Processed" in the file navigation pane, you can still move it by selecting the gear icon and then selecting Open.
  4. (Optional) Perform any of the following actions:
    • To maximize and view the file, select Fullscreen.
    • To show or hide the files in the current folder, select File Type ( "" ).
    • To view the revision history of the file in descending order with the current version of the file at the top, select History. The publication version of the file appears at the end of the file name in parentheses, for example, “(Pub 2)”.
    • To close the 3D file, select Close (X).
