The Big Picture of Sales Representatives

A sales representative is a group or individual who can be assigned to follow up and manage leads.

Individual sales representatives can be members of one or more groups, and they can be an internal user or an external party.

Groups can be used to control which sales representatives are allocated to the leads for an initiative. For example, you can set up a group whose sales representatives are responsible for industrial customers. Initiatives that target industrial customers can then be configured so that this group is specified as the only one whose sales representatives can be assigned the initiative’s leads.

Because many reports will aggregate information for all sales representatives in a group, you may choose to set up a sales representative group just for reporting purposes.
