Maintaining Third Party Lead Events

A third party lead event represents an action within a lead to either encourage a customer to participate in a program, or perform an on-site service. A lead may contain one or more third party lead events.

The Lead Event portal is used to maintain third party lead events. This portal contains the following zones:
  • Lead Event: Displays the basic information about the lead event.

  • Notes: Displays user-defined comments about this lead event

To maintain a third party lead event:

  1. Select Menu > Sales & Marketing > Lead Event.
  2. Enter your search criteria in the Lead Event Query zone.
    The C1-owned base package search options include:
    • Name and address
    • Related object
    • Initiative and representative
    • Lead and lead event
  3. Click Refresh.
  4. In the search results list, click the link for the lead event you want to maintain. The selected lead opens in the Lead Event portal.
    Note: You may also navigate to the Lead Event portal by clicking on the appropriate lead event from various portals and zones. Examples include:
    • Initiative Portal: Initiative Leads zone
    • Sales Representative Portal: Initiative Leads zone or Initiative Lead Events
  5. Click the appropriate record action button:
    • Edit – Click the Edit button to allow you to edit the main attributes of the lead event. When you click Save, the system updates the record.
    • In Progress – Click the In Progress button to initiate the notification process and have the third party lead event sent to the representative.
    • Cancel - Select the Cancel button to cancel a pending lead event.
  6. Click the Add Notes icon, in the Notes zone, to capture additional information for the lead.
