External System Setup

An external system must be setup to integrate with Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAM).

For sending service call information to WAM, define message senders for the following outbound message types:

  • New Service Call Communication Request Outbound Message (C1-SVCCALNEW). This is used to send new service call information.

  • Update Service Call Communication Request Outbound Message (C1-SVCCALUPD). This is used to send service call comments and service call cancel request.

For retrieving service call information from WAM, define message senders for the following outbound message types:

  • Service Call Search (C1-SVCCLSRCH). This is used by the service call search panel to retrieve service calls from the external system.

  • Service Call Details (C1-SVCCALDTL). This is used in the service call details pop up window to retrieve details of a service call from external system.

  • Retrieve Work Documents (C1-RETWRKDOC). This is used in the service call details pop up window to retrieve work documents related to a service call.

Once the external system is defined, configure the WAM Integration Master Configuration so the system knows which external system and outbound message types to use.
