Apply To

Apply To calculation rules create bill lines that levy charges based on amounts calculated on other bill lines. Apply To calculation rules must define the respective target category that they are applied to. The calculation rule(s) that compute charges to which "Apply To" rules will be applied must be defined as members of the target category.   • Calculation Details: Details regarding how the calculation rule performs its calculations:
    • Error If No Value: Indicates what should happen if the system cannot find any calculation rules that are members of the target category at billing time.
    • Seasonal: See Common Parameters.
    • Value Type: Defines if the price is a Charge, Percentage or Unit Rate.
    • Value Source: specifies the source of the price. Depending on the value source selected, either a Bill Factor, Value, or Value Algorithm is required.
• Example: The following calculation rule applies a county tax other calculation rules that belong the "Taxable - County Tax" category.
