About  M&V Transactions

M&V transactions capture the results of the regression analysis and calculations preformed on those results based on data for the Device Population (treatment) group and the Control group. This includes the following coefficients and calculated values:

  • Intercept
  • Coefficient for Time
  • Coefficient for Treatment
  • Coefficient for Time * Treatment
  • Control group average hourly load over the pre-event reference period (scalar value)
  • Treatment group average hourly load over the pre-event reference period (scalar value)
  • Treatment group hourly average load over the event period (interval values)
  • Control group hourly average load over the event period (interval values)

M&V transactions are created by monitor algorithms on aggregator measuring components associated with Device Population groups.

M&V transactions contain the following data:

  • M&V Subscription: The M&V subscription associated with the event for which the M&V transaction was created

  • Program Event: The event for which the M&V transaction was created

  • Start Date/Time: The start date and time of the event

  • End Date/Time: The end date and time of the event

  • Regression Statistics: Statistics from the regression calculation, including:

    • Coefficient of Determination

    • Multiple R

    • Standard Error

    • Number of Observations

  • Coefficient Statistics: Statistics for each of the following coefficients: Intercept (b0), Coefficient for Time (b1), Coefficient for Treatment (b2), and Coefficient for Time * Treatment (b3), including:
    • Standard Error
    • Low Confidence Interval
    • High Confidence Interval

  • Issues: One or more messages related to the transaction.

Batch Processing

M&V transaction processing is supported by the following monitor batch processes:

  • Retry M&V Transaction (X1-RTMVT): This batch process monitors M&V Transactions and advances them to the next state, and will retry M&V Transactions events in error.
  • Recalculate M&V Transaction (X1-RCMVT): This batch process monitors M&V Transactions to recalculate and advances them to the next state.
