Setting the Asset Portal Default Tab

The Asset 360 tab is the default tab for the Asset portal once an asset is selected. If this is not the result you are expecting, administrators have the option to override this configuration and set the Main tab as the default tab for the Asset portal. Overriding the default to be the Main tab can be configured on a system-wide basis or at the User-level. The system will check the default by first checking the User override followed by a check of the system-wide override setting.

Take the following steps to override the default at a system-wide level:

  1. Navigate to Admin , select General , and then select Feature Configuration .

  2. Enter Asset 360 as the Feature Type.

  3. Click Edit and make the following changes in the Options zone:

    • Set Option Type to Set Main as Default Tab in Asset Portal.

    • Set Sequence to 1.

    • Set Value to Y (Yes).

Take the following steps to override the default at a User level:

  1. Navigate to User portal page.

  2. Click the Characteristics tab and make the following changes:

    • Select Set Main as Default Tab ifrom the Characteristics Type drop-down.

    • Set the Sequence value to 1.

    • Set the Value to Yes.
