Maintaining Projects

The Projects portal is used to view and maintain projects.

You can access this portal from Menu, select Work Management, then select Project. You are brought to a query portal with options for searching for a specific record. Once the project has been selected, you are brought to the maintenance portal where you can view and maintain the selected record.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal’s Main tab page:

  • Project: This zone provides information about the project, such as whether to allow other records to charge against the project, scheduling information, and accounting information.
  • Child Project Info: This zone lists the subprojects associated with the project.
  • Attachments: This zone enables users to manage all types of attachments for the project record.
  • Notes: This zone lists notes associated with the project.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal’s Cost tab page:

  • Project Cost Summary: This zone displays a summary of costs associated with the project record.
  • Project Cost Detail: This zone is originally hidden but displays cost details by broadcasting the cost category in the Project Cost Summary zone.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal’s Tree View tab page:

  • Project Hierarchy: This zone displays a tree structure of the project hierarchy for the current project.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal’s Work tab page:

  • Work Order Status Summary: This zone displays a graph of both regular work orders and construction work orders associated with the project and subprojects in its hierarchy by status.
  • Work Order: This zone displays both regular work orders and construction work orders for the current project and associated subprojects in its hierarchy.
  • Work Activity Status Summary: This zone displays a graph of regular work activities and construction activities associated with the project and subprojects in its hierarchy by status.
  • Work Activity: This zone displays a list of both regular work activities and construction activities associated with the project and associated subprojects in its hierarchy.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal’s Timesheet tab page:

  • Timesheet: This zone displays non-cancelled timesheet detail records associated with the current project and subprojects in its hierarchy.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal’s Work Design tab page:

  • Work Design: This zone displays non-cancelled work designs associated with the current project and subprojects in its hierarchy.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal’s Purchase Order tab page:

  • Purchase Order Line: This zone displays non-cancelled purchase order lines associated with the current project and subprojects in its hierarchy.

The following zones may appear as part of the portal’s Log tab page:

  • Project Log: This zone displays log details for the current project.
  • Approval Request History: This zone lists the approval history for the current project.
