Understanding Service Areas

Service areas define a logical boundary of your organization's service territory. A service area can be specified on a metered service point to indicate the service area in which the metered service point is located.

Crew shifts are populated with a list of service areas that the crew shift is allowed to work. This is matched up with the service area indicated on the activity (from the metered service point) to help determine which crew shift can work the activity.
