About Metered Service Points

Metered service points represent service points in Oracle Utilities Customer Cloud Service (or Oracle Utilities Customer to Meter).

Metered service points are created via a data synchronization process between Digital Asset Cloud Service and Customer Cloud Service.

Metered service points are defined by the following:

  • Service Point Type: The service point type record on which the metered service point is based. Service points types define certain parameters and attributes of a class of metered service points.

  • Division: The operating company or operating division within a large conglomerate of utilities associated with the metered service point.

  • Status: The current status of the metered service point.

  • Address and Location Information: The address (including city, state, postal code, and country) and geographic location of the metered service point.

  • Field Information: Information related to field work performed at the metered service point, including any applicable warnings or instructions

  • Distribution Network Facility: The network node closest to the metered service point. In terms of electric networks, facilities typically represent transformers.

  • Access Group: The access group used to control which groups of users have access to the metered service point (if applicable). See Defining Access Groups in the Administrative User Guide for more information.
