About Interval Prices and Price Sets

Interval price sets represent set of interval pricing values used in event settlement transaction calculations. This might include market prices or real-time prices, When using multiple sources of interval prices, each source might be represented by a different interval price set.

Interval prices are individual prices based on a defined interval size (for example, hourly prices). 

Interval price are defined by the following data:

  • Interval Price Set Type: The interval price set type on which the interval price set is based. The interval price set type defines a number of attributes of the price set, including the interval size for the price intervals (such as 1 hour, 15 minutes, and so on), and the unit of measure, time of use period, and service quantity identifier used to define the price values.

  • External Identifier: An identifier for the interval price set used in external systems

  • Interval Prices: A set of interval price values belonging to the interval price set, including the following:

    • Price Date/Time: The date and time of the interval price

    • Price: The price value (based on the unit of measure defined for the interval price set's type)
