Creating a Brand Configuration

Introduction

A Brand configuration is complete only when it has one Brand Detail configuration and one Brand Version configuration. A Brand configuration is associated to a Marketing Company. You can create multiple Brand Detail and Brand Version configurations, if required. Every Brand Detail can have at least one or more Brand Versions. Each Brand Version can be optionally associated to one or more Brand Color Series and Brand Color Space configurations.

Prerequisites

Following are the prerequisites to consider before creating a Brand configuration in Communication Cloud Service:

Ensure that you complete the prerequisites before proceeding.
Prerequisites Details
Set the Config ID Config ID must be Active.

Ensure that all dependent configurations and associations are part of the same open Config ID.

Configure Entitlements Ensure that you have the required entitlements to create a Brand.
Create Marketing Company configuration Ensure that you have created the Marketing Company configuration that needs to be associated to the Brand configuration.

Create Brand Color Space configuration Ensure that you have created the required Brand Color Space configurations that needs to be associated to the Brand configuration.

Create Brand Color Series configuration Ensure that you have created the required Brand Color Series configurations that needs to be associated to the Brand configuration.

Steps involved in creating a Brand Configuration

Step 1 - Creating a Brand

To create a Brand, follow these steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Brand and then select Brand.
  4. On the Brand landing page, select Create.
  5. In Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name and Description (optional), to identify the Brand.
  6. In Marketing Company section, select Add Marketing Company and select the Marketing Company that you want to associate to the Brand.
  7. In Status section, the Active Date is set to the current date when the Brand is created. You can change it to a future date if required.
  8. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page, or select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Create Brand Detail page.

Step 2 - Creating a Brand Detail

To create a Brand Detail configuration, follow these steps:
  1. On the Create Brand Detail page, in Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name and Description (optional), to identify the Brand Detail.
  2. In Status section, the Active Date is set to the current date when the Brand Detail is created. You can change it to a future date if required.
  3. Select Continue to navigate to the Create Brand Version page.

Step 3 - Creating a Brand Version

To create a Brand Version configuration, follow these steps:
  1. On the Create Brand Version page, in Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name and Description (optional), to identify the Brand Version.
  2. In Status section, the Active Date is set to the current date when the Brand Version is created. You can change it to a future date if required.
  3. In the Associations section, you can optionally add one or more Brand Color Series and Brand Color Space associations. Select Add corresponding to Brand Color Series or Brand Color Space and select the configurations you want to associate.
  4. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the details and return to the Brand landing page.

Maintaining a Brand Configuration

Introduction

You can update or delete Brand configuration to cater to the changing business needs.

You can update the following Brand configuration information:

If the initial Config ID used for Brand configuration creation is closed, and if you want to edit the Brand, see Editing a Configuration after Closing the Config ID.

Editing a Brand

You can modify the basic information and Active Date of the Brand configuration.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Brand and then select Brand. This redirects you to the Brand landing page.
  4. To edit the required Brand configuration, follow either one of these options from the Brand landing page:
    • Under the Action column of the respective Brand, select More Menu, and then select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Brand configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit. This redirects you to Update Brand page where you can modify details as required.
  5. Edit the details in the Basic Information section to change the identification details.
  6. Edit the Active Date in the Status section to change the date.
  7. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page, or select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Brand Detail page.

Replacing a Marketing Company Association

You can replace the Marketing Company only if the Config ID, that you used to create the Brand, is in Open state.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Brand and then select Brand. This redirects you to the Brand landing page.
  4. To edit the required Brand configuration, follow either one of these options from the Brand landing page:
    • Under Action column of the respective Brand, select More Menu, and then select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Brand configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Brand page.
  6. To replace associated Marketing Company, under Marketing Company section, select More Menu from Action column and then select Replace. Select the new Marketing Company to be associated.
  7. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Brand landing page, or select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Brand Detail page.

Editing a Brand Detail

You can modify the basic information and Active Date of the Brand Detail configuration.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Brand and then select Brand. This redirects you to the Brand landing page.
  4. To edit the required Brand configuration, follow either one of these options from the Brand landing page:
    • Under Action column of the respective Brand, select More Menu, and then select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Brand configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Brand page.
  6. From the left navigation, select the Detail you want modify and navigate to Update Brand Detail page.
  7. Edit the details in the Basic Information section to change identification details.
  8. Edit the Active Date in the Status section to change date.
  9. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Brand landing page, or select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Brand Version page.

Editing a Brand Version

You can modify the basic information and Active Date of the Brand Version configuration.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Brand and then select Brand. This redirects you to the Brand landing page.
  4. To edit the required Brand configuration, follow either one of these options from the Brand landing page:
    • Under Action column of the respective Brand, select More Menu, and then select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Brand configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit. This redirects you to Update Brand page. Select the required Brand Version from the left navigation, this redirects you to Update Brand Version page. You can modify details as required.
  5. Edit the details in the Basic Information section to change identification details.
  6. Edit the Active Date in the Status section to change date.
  7. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Brand landing page, or select Save & Exit to save the details and navigate to the Brand landing page.

Modify Brand Color Series or Brand Color Space associated to Brand Version

You can add or remove the associated Brand Color Series or Brand Color Space configurations only if the Config ID, that you used to create the Brand, is in Open state.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Brand and then select Brand. This redirects you to the Brand landing page.
  4. To edit the required Brand configuration, follow either one of these options from the Brand landing page:
    • Under Action column of the respective Brand, select More Menu, and then select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Brand configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
    This redirects you to Update Brand page.
  5. Select the required Brand Version from the left navigation.
  6. To add new Brand Color Series or Brand Color Space associations, under Associations section, select Add corresponding to Brand Color Series or Brand Color Space. Select the required configurations.
  7. To remove existing Brand Color Series or Brand Color Space associations, under Associations section, select More Menu from Action and then select Remove.
  8. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Brand landing page, or select Save & Exit to save the details and navigate to the Brand landing page.

Add Sibling to Brand Detail Configuration

Each Brand can have one or more Brand Details. Each having a unique name and a different Active Date. The Active Date helps determine the correct Detail to be used for processing. When you add Brand Detail sibling, a new linked Brand Version also gets created.

Perform the following steps:
  1. On the Update Brand page, from the left navigation, select the Brand Detail to which you want to add a sibling.
  2. On the Update Brand Detail page, select Actions from the top right corner.
  3. Select Add Sibling. This redirects you to Create Brand Detail page.
  4. Provide all the details. See Step 2 - Creating a Brand Detail for more details.
  5. Select Continue to navigate to Create Brand Version page.
  6. Provide the required details. See Step 3 - Creating a Brand Version for more details.
  7. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Brand landing page, or select Save & Exit to save the details and navigate to the Brand landing page.

Add Sibling to Brand Version Configuration

Each Brand Detail can have one or more Brand Versions. Each having a unique name and a different Active Date. The Active Date helps determine the correct Version to be used for processing.

Perform the following steps:
  1. On the Update Brand page, from the left navigation, select the Brand Version to which you want to add a sibling.
  2. On the Update Brand Version page, select Actions from the top right corner. Select Add Sibling. This redirects you to Create Brand Version page.
  3. Provide the required details. See Step 3 - Creating a Brand Version for more details.
  4. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Brand landing page, or select Save & Exit to save the details and navigate to the Brand landing page.

Duplicating an Existing Brand Version Configuration

You can duplicate an existing Brand Version to create a new one. This copies the Long Name, Description and Associations of the existing Brand Version configuration. You need to enter unique Name and Active Date.

Perform the following steps:
  1. On the Update Brand page, from the left navigation, select the Brand Version that you want to duplicate.
  2. On the selected Brand Version's Update Brand Version page, select Actions from the top right corner.
  3. Select Duplicate To Create New Version. Your selected version gets duplicated with same long name, description, and associations.
  4. On the new Create Brand Version page, you need to enter a unique Name and an Active Date. The Active Date should be different from the Active Date of existing Brand Versions within this Brand configuration.
  5. You can remove the existing associations and add new associations if required. See Modify Brand Color Series or Brand Color Space associated to Brand Version for more details.
  6. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Brand landing page, or select Save & Exit to save the details and navigate to the Brand landing page.

Deleting a Brand Version Configuration

You can delete a Brand Version if it is no longer required. Before deleting a Brand Version, you must ensure that the initial Config ID used for Brand configuration creation is not closed.

To delete a Brand Version, follow the steps below:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Brand and then select Brand. This redirects you to the Brand landing page.
  4. To edit the required Brand configuration, follow either one of these options from the Brand landing page:
    • Under Action column of the respective Brand, select More Menu, and then select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Brand configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
    This redirects you to Update Brand page.
  5. On the Update Brand page, from the left navigation, select the Brand Version that you want to delete. This redirects you to the Update Brand Version page.
  6. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.

Deleting a Brand Detail Configuration

You can delete a Brand Detail if it is no longer required. Before deleting a Brand Detail, you must ensure that the initial Config ID used for Brand configuration creation is not closed.

To delete a Brand Detail, perform the following steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Brand and then select Brand. This redirects you to the Brand landing page.
  4. To edit the required Brand configuration, follow either one of these options from the Brand landing page:
    • Under Action column of the respective Brand, select More Menu, and then select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Brand configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Brand page.
  6. On the Update Brand page, from the left navigation, select the Brand Detail that you want to delete. This redirects you to the Update Brand Detail page.
  7. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.

Deleting a Brand

You can delete a Brand if it is no longer required. Before deleting a Brand, you must ensure that the initial Config ID used for Brand configuration creation is not closed.

To delete a Brand, follow the steps below:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.

  4. To delete the required Brand, follow either one of these options from the Brand landing page:
    • Under Action column of the respective Brand, select More Menu, and then select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
    • Under Action column of the respective Brand, select More Menu, and then select Edit. This redirects you to the Update Brand page. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
