Creating a User Defined Data
Introduction
User Defined Data enables flexible and customizable data handling within Communication Cloud Service. The User Defined Data configuration is at the top-level within the Data of an Operations Company. You can only create one User Defined Data configuration for an Operations Company. Other Data components like Field Group, Structure, and Format, can be associated to the User Defined Data, helping to group them under a single Operations Company.
Prerequisites
Following are the prerequisites to consider before creating a User Defined Data configuration in Communication Cloud Service:

Ensure that you complete the prerequisites before proceeding.Prerequisites | Details |

Set the Config ID | Config ID must be Active.
Ensure that all dependent configurations and associations are part of the same open Config ID. See Creating Config ID for creating a Config ID. |
Configure Entitlements | Ensure that you have the required entitlements to create a User Defined Data.

Create Operations Company configuration | Ensure that you have created the Operations Company configuration that needs to be associated to the User Defined Data configuration.

Creating a User Defined Data
- Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Under Configuration, select Data and then select User Defined Data.
- On the User Defined Data landing page, select Create.
- In Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name and Description (optional), to identify the User Defined Data.
- In Operations Company section, select Add Operations Company and then select the Operations Company that you want to associate to the User Defined Data.
- In Status section, Active Date is set to the current date when User Defined Data is created. You can change it to a future date if required, but you cannot leave it blank.
- Select Save to save the details and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the details and return to the User Defined Data landing page.
