Maintaining a User Defined Data

Introduction

You can update or delete User Defined Data configuration to cater to the changing business needs.

You can update the following User Defined Data configuration information:

Note:

If the initial Config ID used for creating a User Defined Data is closed, and if you want to edit the User Defined Data, see Editing a Configuration after Closing the Config ID.

Editing a User Defined Data

You can modify the basic information and Active Date of a User Defined Data configuration.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select User Defined Data. This redirects you to the User Defined Data landing page.
  4. To edit the required User Defined Data configuration, follow either one of these steps from the User Defined Data landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective User Defined Data, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required User Defined Data configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to the Update User Defined Data page where you can modify details as required.
  6. Edit the details in the Basic Information section to change identification details.
  7. Edit the Active Date in the Status section to change date.
  8. Select Save to save the changes and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the changes and return to the User Defined Data landing page.

Replacing Operations Company

You can replace the Operations Company only if the Config ID, that you used to create the User Defined Data, is in Open state.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select User Defined Data. This redirects you to the User Defined Data landing page.
  4. To edit the required User Defined Data configuration, follow either one of these steps from the User Defined Data landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective User Defined Data, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required User Defined Data configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update User Defined Data page.
  6. To replace associated Operations Company, under Operations Company section, select More Menu from Action and then select Replace. Select the new Operations Company to be associated.
  7. Select Save to save the changes and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the changes and return to the User Defined Data landing page.

Deleting a User Defined Data

You can delete a User Defined Data if it is no longer required. Before deleting you must ensure that:
  • the initial Config ID used for User Defined Data configuration creation is not closed.
  • no Field Group, Structure or Format configurations are associated to the User Defined Data.
To delete a User Defined Data, follow the steps below:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select User Defined Data. This redirects you to the User Defined Data landing page.
  4. To delete the required User Defined Data configuration, follow either one of these steps from the User Defined Data landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective User Defined Data, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective User Defined Data, select Edit. This redirects you to the Update User Defined Data page. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
