Maintaining a Field Group

Introduction

You can update or delete Field Group configuration to cater to the changing business needs.

You can update the following Field Group configuration information:
  • Editing a Field Group - Edit a Field Group's basic information and Active Date.
  • Replacing User Defined Data - Replace associated User Defined Data if the Config ID, using which the Field Group was created, is open.
  • Deleting a Field Group - Delete a Field Group that you are no longer using, if the Config ID, using which the Field Group was created, is open.

Note:

If the initial Config ID used for Field Group configuration creation is closed, and if you want to edit the Field Group, see Editing a Configuration after Closing the Config ID.

Editing a Field Group

You can modify the basic information and Active Date of the Field Group configuration.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field Group. This redirects you to the Field Group landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field Group configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field Group landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field Group configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to the Update Field Group page where you can modify details as required.
  6. Edit the details in the Basic Information section to change identification details.
  7. Edit the Active Date in the Status section to change date.
  8. Select Save to save the details and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the details and return to the Field Group landing page.

Replacing User Defined Data

You can replace the User Defined Data only if the Config ID, that you used to create the Field Group, is in Open state.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field Group. This redirects you to the Field Group landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field Group configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field Group landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field Group, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field Group configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Field Group page.
  6. To replace associated User Defined Data, under User Defined Data section, select More Menu from Action and then select Replace. Select the new User Defined Data to be associated.
  7. Select Save to save the changes and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the changes and return to the Field Group landing page.

Deleting a Field Group

You can delete a Field Group if it is no longer required. Before deleting you must ensure that:
  • the initial Config ID used for Field Group configuration creation is not closed.
  • it is not associated to User Defined Data.
  • no Field configurations are associated to the Field Group.
To delete a Field Group, follow the steps below:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field Group. This redirects you to the Field Group landing page.
  4. To delete the required Field Group configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field Group landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field Group, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field Group, select Edit. This redirects you to the Update Field Group page. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
