Maintaining a Field

Introduction

You can update or delete Field configuration to cater to the changing business needs.

You can update the following Field configuration information:

Note:

If the initial Config ID used for Field configuration creation is closed, and if you want to edit the Field, see Editing a Configuration after Closing the Config ID.

Editing a Field

You can modify the basic information and Active Date of the Field configuration.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field. This redirects you to the Field landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Field page where you can modify details as required.
  6. Edit the details in the Basic Information section to change identification details.
  7. In the Field Data section, you can modify the Required and Default Value. You cannot modify the selected Field Type.
  8. If selected Field Type is Array/List/Object and Child Fields are associated to it, then in the Field (Child) section you can change sequence of the listed Child Fields.
  9. Edit the Active Date in the Status section to change date.
  10. To save the details and return to the Field landing page, you can either:
    • Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Field landing page. OR
    • Select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Field Iteration page or Update Field Transform page depending on the Field Type selected. If you are on the Update Field Iteration page, then select Skip & Continue to navigate to the Update Field Transform page. If you are on the Update Field Transform page, then select Skip & Exit to return to the Field landing page.

Replacing Field Group

You can replace the Field Group only if the Config ID, that you used to create the Field, is in Open state.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field. This redirects you to the Field landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Field page.
  6. To replace associated Field Group, under Field Group section, select More Menu from Action and then select Replace. Select the new Field Group to be associated.
  7. To save the details and return to the Field landing page, you can either:
    • Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Field landing page. OR
    • Select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Field Iteration page or Update Field Transform page depending on the Field Type selected. If you are on the Update Field Iteration page, then select Skip & Continue to navigate to the Update Field Transform page. If you are on the Update Field Transform page, then select Skip & Exit to return to the Field landing page.

Replacing Field (Parent)

You can replace the Field (Parent) only if the Config ID, that you used to create the Field, is in Open state.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field. This redirects you to the Field landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Field page.
  6. To replace associated Field (Parent), under Field (Parent) section, select More Menu from Action and then select Replace. Select the new Field (Parent) to be associated.
  7. To save the details and return to the Field landing page, you can either:
    • Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Cancel to return to the Field landing page. OR
    • Select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Field Iteration page or Update Field Transform page depending on the Field Type selected. If you are on the Update Field Iteration page, then select Skip & Continue to navigate to the Update Field Transform page. If you are on the Update Field Transform page, then select Skip & Exit to return to the Field landing page.

Editing a Field Iteration

You can modify the basic information and Active Date of the Field Iteration configuration.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field. This redirects you to the Field landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Field page. Select the required Field Iteration from the left navigation where you can modify details as required.
  6. Edit the details in the Basic Information section to change identification details.
  7. Edit the Active Date in the Status section to change date.
  8. To save the details and return to the Field landing page, you can either:
    • Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Skip & Continue to navigate to the Update Field Transform page. OR
    • Select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Field Transform page.
  9. Select Skip & Exit to return to the Field landing page.

Replacing Field associated to Field Iteration

You can replace the Field only if the Config ID, that you used to create the Field, is in Open state.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field. This redirects you to the Field landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Field page. Select the required Field Iteration from the left navigation.
  6. To replace associated Field, under Field section, select More Menu from Action and then select Replace. Select the new Field to be associated.
  7. To save the details and return to the Field landing page, you can either:
    • Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Skip & Continue to navigate to the Update Field Transform page. OR
    • Select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Field Transform page.
  8. Select Skip & Exit to return to the Field landing page.

Add Sibling to Field Iteration

Each Field can optionally have one or more Field Iterations, with each iteration having a unique name and a different Active Date. The Field Iteration's Active Date helps determine the correct version to be used for processing.

Perform the following steps:
  1. On the Update Field Iteration page, select Actions from the top right corner.
  2. Select Add Sibling. You are navigated to a blank Update Field Iteration page.
  3. Provide all the details. See Creating a Field Iteration (Optional) for more details.
  4. To save the details and return to the Field landing page, you can either:
    • Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Skip & Continue to navigate to the Update Field Transform page. OR
    • Select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Field Transform page.
  5. Select Skip & Exit to return to the Field landing page.

Duplicating an Existing Field Iteration

You can duplicate an existing Field Iteration to create a new one. This duplicates the existing iteration with the same description and association. You need to enter unique Name, Long Name, and Active Date.

Perform the following steps:
  1. On the Update Field page, from the left navigation, select the iteration that you want to duplicate.
  2. On the selected iteration's Update Field Iteration page, select Actions from the top right corner.
  3. Select Duplicate To Create New Iteration. Your selected iteration gets duplicated with same description and associations.
  4. You need to enter unique Name, Long Name, and Active Date.
  5. You can replace existing Field association if required. See Replacing Field associated to Field Iteration for more details.
  6. Provide all the details. See Creating a Field Iteration (Optional) for more details.
  7. To save the details and return to the Field landing page, you can either:
    • Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Skip & Continue to navigate to the Update Field Transform page. OR
    • Select Save & Continue to save the details and navigate to the Update Field Transform page.
  8. Select Skip & Exit to return to the Field landing page.

Editing a Field Transform

You can modify the basic information, Transform Property and Field Associations of a Field Transform configuration.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field. This redirects you to the Field landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Field page. Select the required Field Transform from the left navigation where you can modify details as required.
  6. Edit the details in the Basic Information section to change identification details.
  7. Modify the Transform Type in the Transform Property section.
  8. Add required Field Associations. See Table 4-*
  9. To remove a Field Association that is no longer needed, select More Menu under Action column for that Field and select Remove.
  10. To save the details and return to the Field landing page, you can either:
    • Select Save to save the details and stay on this page. Then select Skip & Exit to return to the Field landing page. OR
    • Select Save & Exit to return to the Field landing page.

Deleting a Field Iteration

You can delete a Field Iteration if it is no longer required. Before deleting a Field Iteration, you must ensure that:
  • the initial Config ID used for Field configuration creation is not closed.
  • no Field configuration is associated to the Field Iteration configuration.
To delete a Field Iteration, follow the steps below:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field. This redirects you to the Field landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Field page.
  6. On the Update Field page, from the left navigation, select the Field Iteration that you want to delete. This redirects you to the Update Field Iteration landing page.
  7. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.

Deleting a Field Transform

You can delete a Field Transform if it is no longer required. Before deleting a Field Transform, you must ensure that:
  • the initial Config ID used for Field configuration creation is not closed.
  • no Field configurations are associated to the Field Transform configuration.
To delete a Field Transform, follow the steps below:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field. This redirects you to the Field landing page.
  4. To edit the required Field configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Field landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field, select Edit.
    • From the Name column, select the required Field configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
  5. This redirects you to Update Field page.
  6. On the Update Field page, from the left navigation, select the Field Transform that you want to delete. This redirects you to the Update Field Transform landing page.
  7. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.

Deleting a Field

  • the initial Config ID used for Field configuration creation is not closed.
  • no Field Group or Field configurations are associated to the Field configuration.
To delete a Field, follow the steps below:
  1. Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Data and then select Field. This redirects you to the Field landing page.
  4. To delete the required Field, follow either one of these options from the Field landing page:
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
    • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Field, select Edit. This redirects you to the Update Field page. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
