Maintaining a Structure
Introduction
You can update or delete Structure configuration to cater to the changing business needs.
- Editing a Structure - Edit a Structure's basic information and Active Date.
- Replacing User Defined Data - Replace the User Defined Data if the Config ID, using which the Structure was created, is open.
- Creating a New Structure Version - Create a new version under the same configuration.
- Duplicating an Existing Structure Version - Duplicate an existing version along with its associations, under the same configuration.
- Modifying the Structure Version association and its attributes - Modify or replace the associated Fields, if the Config ID, using which the Structure was created, is open.
- Deleting a Structure Version - Delete a Structure Version configuration that you are no longer using, if the Config ID, using which the Structure was created, is open.
- Deleting a Structure - Delete a Structure that you are no longer using, if the Config ID, using which the Structure was created, is open.

You can modify the basic information and Active Date of the Structure configuration.
- Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Under Configuration, select Data and then select Structure. This redirects you to the Structure landing page.
- To edit the required Structure configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Structure landing page:
- From More Menu in Action column, select Edit.
- From the Name column, select the required Structure configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
- This redirects you to Update Structure page where you can modify details as required.
- Edit the details in the Basic Information section to change identification details.
- In Structure Type section, you can change the Type selected.
- Edit the Active Date in the Status section to change date.
- Select Save to save the details and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the details and return to the Structure landing page.
Replacing User Defined Data
You can replace the User Defined Data only if the Config ID, that you used to create the Structure, is in Open state.
- Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Under Configuration, select Data and then select Structure. This redirects you to the Structure landing page.
- To edit the required Structure configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Structure landing page:
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Structure, select Edit.
- From the Name column, select the required Structure configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
- This redirects you to Update Structure page.
- To replace associated User Defined Data, under User Defined Data section, select More Menu from Action and then select Replace. Select the new User Defined Data to be associated.
- Select Save to save the changes and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the changes and return to the Structure landing page.
Creating a New Structure Version
Each Structure may have one or more Structure Versions, with each version having a unique name and a different Active Date. The Structure Version's Active Date helps determine the correct version to be used for processing.
- Perform one of the following steps:
- Adding Child to Structure
- On the Update Structure page, select Actions from the top right corner.
- Select Add Child.
- Adding Sibling to a Structure Version
- On the Update Structure Version page, select Actions from the top right corner.
- Select Add Sibling.
- Adding Child to Structure
- Provide the Structure Version details. See Creating a Structure Version for more details.
- Select Save to save the changes and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the changes and return to the Structure landing page.
Duplicating an Existing Structure Version
You can duplicate an existing version to create a new version. This duplicates the existing version with the same description and associations. You need to enter unique Name, Long Name, and JSON Path.
- On the Update Structure page, from the left navigation, select the version that you want to duplicate.
- On the selected version's Update Structure Version page, select Actions from the top right corner.
- Select Duplicate To Create New Version. Your selected version gets duplicated with the same description and associations.
- You need to enter unique Name, Long Name, and JSON Path.
- You can add new Field associations or remove existing associations. See Modifying the Structure Version association and its attributes for more details.
- Select Save to save the changes and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the changes and return to the Structure landing page.
Modifying the Structure Version association and its attributes
You can modify the Field associations and attributes in the Structure Version configuration if the Config ID, using which the Structure was created, is in Open status.
- On the Update Structure Version page, expand Associations section. Then on a specific Field, from Action, select the More Menu and then select Edit.
- On the Field Attributes page, you can select:
against the Field, to change the value in the Required column.
to save the change.
to discard the change.
- Done to save changes and return to Update Structure Version page.
- Cancel to exit the Field Attributes page and return to Update Structure Version page.
- On the Field Attributes page, if you want to change the order sequence of associated Fields, you can select the row, then drag and drop it to the required location.
- To remove any of the associated Fields, on the Update Structure Version page in Associations section, select More Menu under Action column and select Remove.
- Select Save to save the changes and stay on this page, or select Save & Exit to save the changes and return to the Structure landing page.
Deleting a Structure Version
- the initial Config ID used for Structure configuration creation is not closed.
- no Field configurations are associated to the Structure Version configuration.
- Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Under Configuration, select Data and then select Structure. This redirects you to the Structure landing page.
- To edit the required Structure configuration, follow either one of these steps from the Structure landing page:
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Structure, select Edit.
- From the Name column, select the required Structure configuration to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
- This redirects you to Update Structure page.
- On the Update Structure page, from the left navigation, select the Structure Version that you want to delete. This redirects you to the Update Structure Version landing page.
- On the Update Structure Version page, remove its Field associations, if any. See Remove Fields associated to Structure Version for more details.
- Once all Field associations have been removed from the Structure Version, from Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
Deleting a Structure
- the initial Config ID used for Structure configuration creation is not closed.
- it does not have Structure Version configurations (except one).
Note:
On deleting the last remaining Structure Version configuration, the Structure configuration gets deleted along with it. - no Field configurations are associated to the Structure Version configurations.
- Access Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Under Configuration, select Data and then select Structure. This redirects you to the Structure landing page.
- To delete the required Structure, follow either one of these options from the Structure landing page:
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Structure, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Structure, select Edit. This redirects you to the Update Structure page. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
