8.1.4 Customer Managed Keys Encryption

If the customer is subscribed to BYOK and successfully set up the vaults, keys and policies, then the customer can use the key for encryption in either of the below phases:

• During the provisioning of environment
• Post provisioning of environment

Also, the customer can revert to using oracle-managed keys or rotate the keys once in 15 days, if required post provisioning of the environment.

Note:

The default encryption uses the Oracle-managed keys.
