The Search window enables you to search for objects within object types that
exist in applications. To use the Search window, follow these steps:
Click the Search icon in the Metadata Browser window to
display the Search window.

Enter the keyword for the search in the Search field. Autocomplete displays
suggestions, which you can select by using the down arrow from the keyboard or
by using the mouse. You can search for an object in the Measure, Dimension, and
Hierarchy object types by adding "in:<Object Type>" to the keyword.
For example, if you enter "Portfolio" in the
Search field, it displays all objects that have the
word "Portfolio" in their Name, Short Description, and Long Description.
However, if you want to search for only Measure objects, enter
Portfolio in:Measure. This narrows down the search to
objects of the Measure type, as shown in the following illustration:
