Managing a Data Source

View, copy, modify, delete, and purge Data Source definitions.

After creating a new Data Source definition, you can perform the following operations from Data Sources:

  • Modify: You can only modify an active version of a Data Source definition. To make an inactive version as active, set that version as the latest. To modify an active version , click Edit, modify the details, and click Save. The modified data source definition is saved with the successive number.
  • View: View an individual Data Source definition details at any given point by selecting the data source and clicking View.
  • Copy: To create a data source definition based on the existing one, select the data source and click Copy . Enter Code and Name, and modify the required fields.
  • Delete: For soft deletion of data sources, select the data source(s) you want to delete and click Delete.
  • Purge: To remove deleted Data Sources permanently from the system, you should have the DMTADMIN user role mapped to your user group. To purge Data Sources, select Deleted from the Record Status drop down list, and click Search to view the list of deleted Data Sources. Select the required data source and click Purge.
