Data Access and Integrations

New attributes added to getReasonCodeDimensions and Reason Code subject area

To improve handling of reason codes in downstream systems, new fields (for Actual POS Ref and Type) are added to the getReasonCodeDimensions BI API endpoint and the Reason Code subject area in self-service exports. The existing fields for reason code number continue to return the same data.

Enhancements to getPOSWasteDetails

Waste transactions can now be queried in real time through the getPOSWasteDetails. This offers integrators the option to get new POS waste details throughout the business date to react to changing stock levels or integrate to third-party inventory management systems in real time.

New attributes added to getTenderMediaDimensions

Tender Media Master sub-type and category were added to the getTenderMediaDimensions endpoint to help integrators distinguish between different types of tenders. This is especially helpful for integrations to ERP or accounting systems.

Enhancements to getGuestChecks

The existing referenceInfo and referenceInfo2 attributes are no longer truncated to 50 characters in the getGuestChecks endpoint.

More flexible location scope assignment for BI API accounts

BI API accounts can now be authorized to access a specifically selected set of locations, which reduces the maintenance efforts and limits the data shared with different partners for highly franchised enterprises. The option to allow access to all locations within an organizational level continues to exist. See BI API accounts for more information.

Simplified API onboarding for all API account types

All required information to connect and consume Oracle Restaurant APIs is now available from the API account dialogs. URLs, account names, and client IDs can be copied to clipboard, or a consolidated email containing all details can be generated, simplifying sharing the information between account owners and integrators or partners. See API Accounts for more information.

New export scheduling option to Combine locations into single output file

A new scheduling option with new trigger conditions has been added to self-service exports that allows the setup of exports that appends the output of multiple locations within a single output file. New formatting options allow the definition of file headers or trailers, and location headers and trailers in the final output. Those help separate each location’s data. A few new filename tokens have also been added.

Special characters in sftp folder names of export delivery profiles

Self-service export delivery profiles now support more special characters in sftp folder names to help with migration from legacy export solutions.

New Fields added to VRO_LM_TIME_CARD_DETAIL_V1 view

The two new fields provide integrators with the ability to track the date and time that the time card was added to the cloud, as well as its last modification date and time.

Reports

New filters added to Guest Checks module

Several new filter options now allow managers to reduce the results of their check searches and help identify single transactions that match the criteria. A new drill-down into the final check image of a check lets operators easily print a copy of the check for inquiring guests.

Enterprise Cash Management report enhancements

To see cash management transactions over a longer period and get a consolidated view across an accounting cycle, the existing Enterprise Cash Management reports (Bank Deposits, Over Short, and Tills) have been enhanced. They now allow a maximum of 35 business dates to be selected.

All Checks with Adjustments report enhancements

The All Checks drill-down reports from the Adjustments report have new columns for the authorizing manager and the check total added. That allows auditors to identify who authorized a specific adjustment, such as a void, error correct, or return, and it allows auditors to gauge the magnitude of the adjustment compared to the overall check total.

New Norway Z-Report

The Norway Z-report is now available in Reporting and Analytics. Customers can perform their daily end of day procedure automatically and have the Z-report centrally available avoiding the involvement of restaurant staff in this process of running and printing the report from the local CAPS workstation.

Enhancements in Cost of Sales reports with Australian GST configurations

Previously the sales amount displayed on Inventory Management’s Cost of Sales reports included Australian GST tax amounts.

People Management

New search option

Search options have been expanded so you can search by the employee object number (POS reference number). Some enterprises manually define the employee object number as the identifier within their external HR systems. The new search option makes it easier to find a specific employee if they know their internal employee ID.

POS Password field

Administrators can now view the POS Password field (also referred to as Alternate ID in EMC) within the employment details of a person.

Notify users of unsaved changes

A warning banner on the top of the screen is now displayed, as soon as changes are made to the person’s record, to help the user remember to click Update. A pop-up message is now displayed if you try to close the browser tab or window with unsaved changes.

Filter jobs by location

The Job Code Name dropdown within the POS configuration tab in Employment details is now filtered to jobs that are applicable for revenue centers within the location you are configuring.
