Pediatric participants

Either pediatric participants or their caregivers can complete their daily updates. You decide whether pediatric participants change from the pediatric daily update to the adult daily update when they turn 18.

Keep in mind the following requirements and options for pediatric participants:
  • Pediatric version of the daily update

All pediatric participants complete the pediatric version of the daily update.

You decide what happens when a participant turns 18: Either they switch over to the adult daily update, or they continue completing the pediatric daily update. Your decision applies to all your pediatric participants. Reach out to your Oracle Customer Success manager to specify this setting.

  • Participants or their caregivers can complete the daily update

Each organization can specify a minimum age for completing the daily update. When a pediatric participant meets your organization's age requirements for self reporting, the participant and their caregiver must decide whether the caregiver completes the daily update. For instance, older teenagers might want to complete their daily updates themselves.

The person who completes the daily update, either the caregiver or the participant, also receives all messages, including test results and requests to complete the daily update.

You specify whether a caregiver or participant is responsible for daily updates either when you add the participant or when you assign a caregiver.

    Note:

Even if a pediatric participant completes their own daily updates, they should still have a designated caregiver.
