Update participant message preferences

Participants can receive messages over email, text, or both. A participant can change the way that they receive messages at any time, or you can make this change for them.

To update the participant message preferences:
  1. Along the top, select the Participants tab.
  2. In the list of participants, locate the participant whose message preferences you need to update.

    Tip:

    You can find the participant by typing their name, external identifier, or email address in the filter above the list of participants.
  3. Select the participant's name.
  4. Above the participant's name and to the right, select Edit Participant.
  5. Scroll to the Contact Information section and select a value for Notification Preference:
    • Email: Participant receives messages only by email.
    • Mobile: Participant receives messages only by text.
    • Both: Participant receives messages by email and text.

    Note:

    Provide the appropriate contact information. For example, if you select Both, make sure you provide a mobile telephone number and an email address for the participant.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Save Participant.
