Prerequisites for Redeeming Loyalty Awards

With an Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Service, Loyalty subscription or when the Loyalty Membership Configuration OPERA Control is active and integrated with the OPERA Cloud Customer Loyalty Tracking Cloud Service member award points can be redeemed for awards; offered based on specific validity dates, the member's tier or level, and other factors. Awards are consumed at the time of booking. Award cancellation policies can be applied when reservations are cancelled, nights reduced or awards removed from a reservation.

Note:

Award cancellation policies are not applied if the reservation dates are changed as the award is not cancelled/reissued. For example:
  • Reservation booked with a Rate Award for Jan 1 for 3 nights at 100 points per night.

  • Reservation cancelled - Award is cancelled and 300 points returned to the member, less any cancellation penalty.

  • Reservation nights reduced to 2 nights - 1 night's award is cancelled and 100 points are returned to the member, less any cancellation penalty.

  • Rate is changed on reservation to a non award rate for entire stay - Award is cancelled and 300 points are returned to the member, less any cancellation penalty.

  • Reservation arrival date is changed from Jan 1 to Jan 15 (3 nights). Award is not cancelled/reissued. Redeemed points are not affected.
