Forecasting Housekeeping Services

As each room type can be setup with a different housekeeping task schedule, the Housekeeping Forecast is available to view a summary of the expected housekeeping tasks, occupancy, arrival rooms, stay over rooms, departure rooms, adults in-house, and children in-house for the current or future dates.

The Statistics panel indicates the Occupancy, Arrival, Stayover and Departure details. When the Housekeeping Credits OPERA Control is set to Facility the total credits are displayed. When the Turndown OPERA Control is active the Statistics panel also displays a row for Turndown . The value in the day columns shows the number of reservations with the Turndown check box selected in the reservation Housekeeping panel and displays as a hyperlink for the current business date only, allowing you to view all room reservations which have requested for Turndown today.

The Tasks panel indicates the number of rooms for each task, on each date. Click + to expand the task details and view the Housekeeping task supplies such as bed linen, towels, soap and other amenities required to be supplied.

Note:

House Keeping task supplies such as, supply items hand towels and soap are included in the forecast.

Viewing the Housekeeping Task Schedule Forecast

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory, select Room Management, and then select Housekeeping Forecast.

  2. Use the following search criteria for the forecast:

    1. Property: Enter or select a property.

    2. Task: Select one or more housekeeping tasks from the list

    3. Start Date: Enter or select a date. 

    4. Use Priority: Each task has a priority level assigned to it. Select the check box to display the task with the highest priority for the room when more than one task applies for a specific date based task frequency. 

  3. Click Search.

  4. Click > to increase the dates by one week or click < to  decrease the dates by one week.

Generating the Housekeeping Task Schedule Forecast Report

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Inventory, select Room Management, and then select Housekeeping Forecast.

  2. Click Report.

    1. Enter report parameters.

    2. Select the report destination.

    3. Click Process.
