PWA - Managing Reservation Notes
Multiple reservation notes can be added to a reservation; each note is categorized by note type Configuring Note Types and set to appear in a specific notification area/condition. Reservation notes can be added to a reservation in any reservation status.
Viewing Reservation Notes
- From the Ask Oracle menu navigate either to Arrivals, In-House , or Departures.
- Select a reservation.
- Click the
icon from More Actions menu.

Arrival Reservations: Reservation Notes associated with the Reservation and General areas are displayed by default.

In-House Reservations: Reservation Notes associated with the InHouse and General areas are displayed by default.

Departure Reservations: Reservation Notes associated with the InHouse, Cashier and General areas are displayed by default.

Tap or click the View All link to see all the Reservation Notes.

Filter notes by criteria, such as the Note Types and Notification Area.
Adding Reservation Notes
- From the Ask Oracle menu navigate either to Arrivals, In-House , or Departures.
- Select a reservation.
- Choose Notes & Traces from the More Actions menu.
- Tap or click on Add Notes/Trace and select Notes tab.
- Internal: Select this check box if the comment is to be treated as internal.

Type: Select a note type. For more information, see Configuring Note Types.
- Notification Area: Select an area where note should appear.
- Reservation: Display prior to check in.
- Inhouse: Display after check in.
- Cashier: Displayed on Billing Screen.
- General: Displayed on Billing screen, after check in and prior to check in.
- Title: Enter a summary title for the note (is default based on the note type but it can be updated).
- Comment: Enter or paste the note details; a maximum of 2000 characters (single byte) is supported.
- Select Create to save the Reservation Note.
Updating Reservation Notes
- From the Ask Oracle menu navigate either to Arrivals, In-House , or Departures.
- Select a reservation.
- Choose Notes & Traces from the More Actions menu.
- Tap or click a Reservation Note (select View All if you do not see the Reservation Note you are looking for). Alternatively, swipe to the right and select Manage.
- Update the relevant fields, such as the Internal flag, the Type, Notification Area, Title or Comment.
Deleting Reservation Notes
- From the Ask Oracle menu navigate either to Arrivals, In-House, or Departures.
- Select a reservation.
- Choose Notes & Traces from the More Actions menu.
- Tap or click a Reservation Note (select View All if you do not see the Reservation Note you are looking for).
- Click Delete.
