ADF-Based Accessibility

The user interface of the Oracle Health Insurance is built using the Application Development Framework (ADF) Faces. The ADF components are accessible to all users with the help of a user agent, like a web browser. A web browser renders the text and component description (within the application) to assistive technology, such as a screen reader. The screen reader reads the information and converts the text to speech.

Here are the accessibility features available in Oracle Health Insurance applications using ADF 12.2.1.1.0 or later versions:

Keyboard Shortcut

You can access the ADF components in Oracle Health Insurance through a keyboard.

Screen Reader

ADF Faces generates components that work with screen readers. There is no need to activate any special modes.

Large Font

Oracle Health Insurance applications can zoom activating no special mode.

High Contrast

If you switch your operating system to high-contrast mode, ADF components generate content compatible with the high-contrast settings.

Accessibility Modes in ADF

Oracle Health Insurance applications that use components from versions older than ADF 12.2.1.1.0 require activating accessibility modes. These modes are accessibility preferences that users can select according to the support they need. The application has a dedicated screen that specifies the different accessibility modes. You can choose between support types and operate in that mode.

Here are the steps to configure a user preference:

  1. Login to the ADF application.

  2. From the top-right corner, click Preferences.

  3. From the Preference screen, select the accessibility mode.

Following are the accessibility modes available in Oracle Health Insurance:

  • Large Font

  • Screen Reader
