Accessibility

The accessibility determines the extent to which the product has been properly coded to meet the OAG 3.0 standards i.e. the application meets relevant accessibility standards and can be used by users with disabilities.

The Oracle Health Insurance Components suite (Oracle Health Insurance) has several applications such as Oracle Health Insurance Value Based Payments, OHI Claims Adjudication and Pricing (Claims), OHI Enterprise Policy Administration (Policies), Oracle Health Insurance Authorizations and Oracle Health Insurance Product Definition.

In order to ensure full compatibility between these applications, they share a common base.Oracle Health Insurance applications use ADF to render HTML UI Content.

Accessibility Modes in ADF

Oracle Health Insurance applications have 3 accessibility modes to support accessibility.

  • Screen Reader mode

  • Large Fonts

  • High Contrast

To view the accessibility modes:

  • 1. In the Global Area on the screen, click on Preferences button.

  • 2. In the Preference pop up select the appropriate accessibility modes.

Please note that in ADF 12.2.1.1.0+ versions render screen reader compatible content in regular mode (not requiring any special screen reader mode). Content is also automatically compatible with zooming (not requiring any special large font mode).

ADF 12.2.1.1 also detect and react to OS High Contrast mode on the fly, producing content compatible with OS HC mode (not requiring any special ADF high contrast mode).
