Enroll a subject in a rollover study

Enroll a subject in a rollover study by answering the rollover question, typically included in the Study Completion Form in the original study. After enrolling a subject, they're marked as Enrolled in the rollover study, while also keeping their original subject number. In the rollover study, you can dispense kits, devices or perform dose changes for subjects.

Before you enroll a subject in a rollover study, consider the following:
  • You must have access to the original study, as well as the target study (where the subject is rolled over). The same applies to sites.
  • The site's ID must match between the original study (where the subject was initially enrolled) and the rollover study.
  • Make sure that the target study (where the subject is rolled over) does not have another subject with the same subject number as the newly enrolled subject.
  1. On the Home page, determine where to work. For more information, see Access study modes and pages.
  2. Along the top, make sure Subjects is selected.
  3. Filter your view based on several criteria. For more information, see Filter subjects in a study.
  4. In the table, locate the subject you want to mark as complete. The subject must have a green avatar with a checkbox in the upper-right corner (Green subject avatar with checkmark in upper-right corner ), indicating that they completed the minimum required visits in the study.
  5. Select the checkbox to the left of the subject.
  6. Above the table of subjects, from the Manage Subjects drop-down, select Complete or Withdraw.
  7. Click Complete Study.
  8. Confirm that you want to proceed, and click Complete Study.
  9. If the study completion form also contains a rollover question, select an answer from the drop-down next to it. Selecting Yes automatically enrolls the subject in a rollover study.
