Enroll a subject in a rollover study

Enroll a subject in a rollover study by answering the rollover question, typically included in the Study Completion Form in the original study. After enrolling a subject, they're marked as Enrolled in the rollover study, while also keeping their original subject number. In the rollover study, you can dispense kits, devices or perform dose changes for subjects.

Before you enroll a subject in a rollover study:
  • You must have access to the original study, as well as the target study (where the subject is rolled over). The same applies to sites.
  • The site's ID must match between the original study (where the subject was initially enrolled) and the rollover study.
  • Make sure that the target study (where the subject is rolled over) does not have another subject with the same subject number as the newly enrolled subject.
  1. On the Home page, open the original study in a given mode. See Access study modes and pages.
  2. Along the top, make sure Subjects is selected.
  3. On the subjects list, locate the subject you want to mark as Complete.
The subject must have a green avatar with a checkbox in the upper-right corner Active and ready for study completion, indicating that they completed the minimum required visits in the study.

    Tip:

You can filter your list of subjects, see Filter subjects in a study.
  4. Select the subject and, from the Manage drop-down, select Complete.
  5. Confirm the date of completion and the fact that you want to complete the study for the given subject, and select Complete Study.
    The Study Completion visit opens.
  6. Fill in the forms in the Study Completion visitt and select Save or Save & Close.
To enroll a subject in a rollover study, one of these forms must contain a rollover question. Selecting the correct answer from the drop-down (typically Yes in a Yes or No question) automatically enrolls the subject in a rollover study.
