LPO Users and Roles

Table 4-1 lists the supported LPO role assignments, corresponding IDCS roles, and primary responsibilities. A user may be assigned more than one role.

Promotion User	PROMOTION_PRICE_JOB / PROMOTION_PRICE_JOB_PREPROD	Required to access Promotion entry points, runs, recommendations, actions, and Promotion rules in Control and Tactical Center. Assign together with the Pricing Analyst or Pricing Manager role for users whose responsibilities include Promotion optimization.
Markdown User	MARKDOWN_PRICE_JOB / MARKDOWN_PRICE_JOB_PREPROD	Required to access Markdown entry points, runs, recommendations, actions, and Markdown rules in Control and Tactical Center. Assign together with the Pricing Analyst or Pricing Manager role for users whose responsibilities include Markdown optimization.
Targeted Offer User	TARGETED_OFFER_JOB TARGETED_OFFER_JOB_PREPROD	Works with customer-specific recommendations and personalized offer strategies.
Regular Price User	REGULAR_PRICE_JOB REGULAR_PRICE_JOB_PREPROD	Required to access and manage regular price recommendations, including Rules-Based Regular Pricing; typically assigned with Pricing Analyst or Pricing Manager.
Pricing Analyst	PRICING_ANALYST_JOB PRICING_ANALYST_JOB_PREPROD	Primary day-to-day user of LPO. Reviews optimization results, evaluates recommendations, performs supported overrides, and prepares recommendations for review.
Pricing Manager (Analytical Super User)	PRICING_MANAGER_JOB PRICING_MANAGER_JOB_PREPROD	Manages analytical configurations, testing, and model diagnostics. Oversees pricing strategies and optimization scenarios, creates and manages What-If runs, evaluates alternative pricing approaches, and supports strategic pricing decisions.
Buyer	BUYER_JOB BUYER_JOB_PREPROD	Owns assigned departments; reviews, submits, approves or rejects recommendations, and monitors downstream status.
Pricing Administrator	ADMINISTRATOR_JOB ADMINISTRATOR_JOB_PREPROD	Responsible for application setup, system configuration, operational support, and troubleshooting.
Targeted Offer User	TARGETED_OFFER_JOB TARGETED_OFFER_JOB_PREPROD	Works with customer-specific recommendations and personalized offer strategies.

Note:

For shared platform features, assign the applicable platform-service role pair in addition to the LPO job role:

• Production: PLATFORM_SERVICES_ADMINISTRATOR and PLATFORM_SERVICES_ADMINISTRATOR_ABSTRACT

• Pre-Production: PLATFORM_SERVICES_ADMINISTRATOR_PREPROD and PLATFORM_SERVICES_ADMINISTRATOR_ABSTRACT_PREPROD

RPCSNext Gen integration: For STG1 integration, configure RSE_CONFIG for the target environment. In IDCS, assign both BUYER and PRICING_APPLICATION_ADMINISTRATOR to the user who approves Promotion and Markdown recommendations.
