Reason Codes
Purpose: Use the Reason Codes screen to work with reason codes used by store associates or managers in Store Connect to:
- reject a delivery or pickup order, or a line on a delivery or pickup order
- cancel a pickup or delivery order, or a line on a pickup or delivery order
Auto Cancel Reason: You can also use this screen to create the Auto Cancel Reason to use when an unclaimed pickup order is not picked up within a specified number of days. The Auto Cancel Reason code specified at the Preferences screen cannot be deleted or deactivated. See Auto-Cancel Unclaimed Orders for background.
How to display this screen: Select Reason Codes from the Home Screen or from the Systems Menu.

The organization associated with your Default Shipping System is selected by default, and the first 50 reason codes in that organization are displayed. Use any combination of the fields at the top of the screen and click Search to restrict the search results to matching reason codes:
Case: The Code and Description are case-insensitive for searching; for example, an entry of m does not match a code of Mis-ship. |

Organization |
See organization. Required to create a new reason code. Defaults from the organization associated with the Default Shipping System from your user profile, but you can override this default. Note: You must complete the Preferences screen for an organization before you can select it. |

Purpose: The code identifying a reason to:
Your entry can be up to 30 positions. Required to create a new reason code, although you can complete your entry at the New Reason Code window. Enter a full or partial code and click Search to display reason codes whose codes start with your entry. Case-insensitive for searching; for example, an entry of m does not match a code of Mis-ship. |
Description |
The description of the reason code. Your entry can be up to 35 positions. Required to create a new reason code. Enter a full or partial description and click Search to display reason codes whose descriptions contain your entry. Case-insensitive for searching; for example, an entry of m does not match a description of Mis-shipment. |
Active |
Indicates whether the reason code is available for selection in Store Connect when an associate or manager is canceling or rejecting an order or line. Select Yes or No and click Search to display reason codes that match your selection. |

Indicates a Reject, Cancel, or Close reason. Close reason codes are not currently implemented. |

Select the displayed icon to switch the status of the reason code to active or inactive. You cannot deactivate the Auto Cancel Reason code specified at the Preferences screen. |
