Define Data Visualization
The Define Data Visualization wizard includes the following pages: More
Data Source
Use the Data Source page to select an existing data source, or to add, copy, or edit a data source.
Note:
You can create a REST data source using this page. You can not create a SQL Data source on this page. Advanced data source options are not supported in this wizard.

Click to create a new REST data source with basic options using the Add New/Edit Data Source wizard. |
Secure Data Source |
Read-only informative icon to represent when an item is a secure data source. |
Load More Items |
If there are a large number of data sources, click to add more data sources to the listing. |
Copy |
Click to copy the selected data source. |
Edit |
Click to edit the selected data source. |
Template
Use the Define Data Visualization wizard Template page to select the visualization template to present the data retrieved from the data source.
The template visualization type available is based on the resource path provided. The built-in templates cannot be modified, but a developer can create custom visualization templates in JDeveloper. More

Options
Use the Define Data Visualization wizard Options page to define the display options to use with the selected data source.
Use the Settings tab to define the settings specific to the selected visualization template. More
Use the Parameters tab to define visualization parameters, which are used get input from other components to the page. Data source parameters are used to retrieve the data from the data source. Using this tab, you can pass a visualization parameter value to a data source parameter. This creates the master-detail relationship where one visualization can pass values to another visualization, and then this value is passed to a data source through data source parameters to make a back data query. You have the option to create or delete visualization parameters. New data visualizations do not have any parameters.
