Use the portal administration General page to specify general portal administration settings for the current portal. The settings on this page are available to the portal manager (or members with the Manage Configuration

The portal administration General page is arranged in the following sections:
Portal Information
The Portal Information section of the General page enables you to enter or modify the portal title, description, and keywords.

Title |
The external display name of the portal. This title displays at the top of the portal and other places where portals are available for selection, such as the Portals menu and the portal browser. Changing the title does not affect the internal name and URL for the portal. More |
Acronym |
Identifies a portal in the portal browser, in combination its tile color and name. Optionally, enter a new acronym for the portal. An acronym may be no more than 5 alphanumeric characters, uppercase or lowercase More |
Description |
Enter a short description explaining the purpose or objective of the portal. More |
Portal Color |
Click Choose Color to select a new color for the portal tile in the portal browser. On the portal administration Settings page, you can specify whether the portal tile should display a color or logo in the portal browser More |
Keywords |
Enter keywords associated with the portal for use in searches. Separate keywords with a space or comma. More |
Portal Details
The Portal Details section of the General page enables you to modify the internal name of the portal, and provides the URL, ID, and information about portal activity.

Name |
The internal name of the portal. Click Rename to enter a new internal name. More Warning: Changing the internal name changes the direct URL link to the portal. |
Portal URL |
The pretty URL for the portal. You can navigate directly to the portal with this URL. Pretty URLs are much shorter versions of the URL you might copy from your browser address bar and enable you to send simpler, shorter URLs to your colleagues. More |
Internal ID |
The internal ID of the portal, which other applications may use to reference this portal. |
Members |
The number of members of the portal, as specified on the portal administration Security page. More |
Last Activity |
The last time there was any activity in the portal. |
Created |
The time that the portal was created and the user name of the portal creator. |
Status
The Status section of the General page enables you to close or activate a portal, take the portal offline or online, and enable or disable RSS feeds.
