Set Page Access

Use the Set Page Access dialog to set custom page security, providing different levels of page access to users as well as to user roles. For example, you can grant page access to the user john.doe as well as to the user role SALES.

Element Description

Page Name

Name of the page for which you are setting access.

Add Access

Click to open the Add Access dialog to search for and select users to add to the Role or User list.

Delete Access

Click to remove access to the page for a selected user or role.

Add Authenticated Access

Click to add the role authenticated-role to the Role or User list, with default View access to the page.

This role is given to all users who are logged in to WebCenter Portal.

Add Public Access

Click to add the role anonymous-role to the Role or User list, with default View access to the page.

This role is given to all public users (that is, users who are not logged in to WebCenter Portal).

Role or User

Lists all the users and roles that can be given permissions to access the page.

Page Access

Select or deselect check boxes to modify permissions for users or roles:

  • View Page icon View the page. Other permissions do not implicitly include this privilege.

  • Edit Page icon Edit the page using the page editor. This includes adding, rearranging, and deleting content; renaming the page; and changing page properties. This permission additionally requires the View Page permission.

  • Delete Page icon Delete the page. This permission additionally requires the View Page permission.

  • Manage Page icon Perform all tasks available through the Personalize Pages.

  • Personalize Page icon Adjust a user's own view of a page. This includes rearranging page content, collapsing and restoring page content, and removing page content. This permission additionally requires the View Page permission.

Add Access

Search

Enter part or all of a user name, group name, or role and click the Search icon. Results display in the body of the dialog. More

Name

Users, groups, and roles that are available to you for granting page access permissions.

Click a name to select it. In Windows, Ctrl+click to select multiple names and roles. Shift+click to select a range.

Type

Specifies whether the Name is a user, group, or role.
