The init scripts for the
iptables and ip6tables
services includes support for configuration files that are
located in the /etc/sysctl.d directory, as
well as /etc/sysctl.conf. This enhancement
ensures that any user-provided files in
/etc/sysctl.d are also correctly accounted
for when the iptables service restarts.
