On fresh installations of Oracle Linux 6.10 using SAN boot, Kdump fails without generating a crash dump file, which results in a kernel panic.
This issue has been observed on the Oracle Server X7-2L with the Oracle Storage Dual-Port 32 Gb Fibre Channel PCIe Low Profile HBA (7115462) card installed.
To work around the issue, add the
pcie_aspm=off
option to the
/etc/sysconfig/kdump
file before booting
the system.
