Manage Balance Loads Using the Balance Loads Card
Use the new Balance Loads card under Application to streamline the balance load process. This card contains the following tabs:
-
Balance Loads
Use this tab to view balance load executions and results, create a new balance load, and access available actions for managing balance loads. In addition to enhanced filters, you can also view outstanding exceptions, including unmapped accounts, missing profiles, and missing currency rates.
-
Mapping Exceptions
Use this tab to resolve unmapped accounts, missing profiles, subledger balances mapped to account analysis profiles, and balances mapped to summary reconciliations. Users can create or correct explicit mappings, create missing profiles manually or automatically by using configurable rules and filters, ignore or remove exceptions, and recalculate affected balances after making mapping changes.
-
Profile Creation Rules
Use this tab to define rules that will automatically create profiles when any loaded balance does not map to an existing profile. You can also include applicable rules to set the required attributes to the new profile.
A new category Job Notifications is added to the Notification preferences and users can configure whether notifications must be sent to them if an error occurs when importing balances.
As part of this update Invalid Mappings are now called Missing Profiles and Data Load is now called Balance Load. Also, in the configuration settings, the Data Loads tab is renamed to Balance Load Templates.
Business Benefit: The feature provides the following benefits:
-
Improves operational efficiency and streamlines the balance load process by bringing monitoring, exception management, mapping corrections, and profile creation into one workspace
-
Improves balance load completeness and data quality by enabling timely correction of unmapped or incorrectly mapped balances
-
Reduces ongoing administrative effort and manual maintenance for new accounts by automating profile setup using configurable rules, defaults, and attribute assignment
