About Installing Siebel Business Applications

Before installing Siebel Enterprise Server components or Siebel Web Server Extension, review the following and perform any necessary preinstallation tasks:

• Before You Install Siebel Business Applications
• Installation and Configuration Methods by Deployment Type
• Requirements for Installing and Configuring Siebel Business Applications

After installation, you configure server modules using the Siebel Configuration Wizards. Perform configuration after installing the base release with version 8.1.1.8 or later, or after installing the base release and available maintenance releases. For more information about configuration tasks, see Configuring Siebel Enterprise Server Components and the Siebel Web Server Extension.
