Chapter 3

Setting Up and Administering Printers by Using CUPS (Tasks)

This chapter describes how to manage your printing environment by using the Common UNIX Print System (CUPS). The procedures that are in this chapter focus primarily on how to use the two CUPS graphical user interfaces (GUIs), both of which are supported in this Oracle Solaris release. This chapter does not include detailed information about managing printers by using the CUPS command-line functionality. For information about using the CUPS command-line functionality, see the documentation at http://localhost:631/help/.

This is a list of information in this chapter:

For overview information about printing in the Oracle Solaris release, see Chapter 1, Introduction to Printing in the Oracle Solaris Operating System.
