You can edit a content set if you want to adjust the minimum number of physical partitions allotted to the content. This is usually done for performance tuning reasons; see the Troubleshooting and Performance Tuning chapter to determine if you should change the minimum partition setting.
Note that this setting is only available through the Edit link, not when you create a content set. You can edit this setting on both production and linked projects; you may want to use fewer partitions on staging projects, for example.
On the Projects tab, go to Projects > Your Project > Content.
Click the Edit link next to the content set name.
For the Min. Physical Partitions field, select the number of partitions to use. Keep in mind that each physical partition represents a Search engine, and that each engine requires at least one core during indexing. Do not set the minimum higher than the number of available cores.
Click OK to save the new setting.
