Diagnostics capture allows you to easily take snapshots of your diagnostic information for troubleshooting purposes.

  1. On your Search Administration instance, go to http://hostname:port/dyn/admin/nucleus/atg/search/
    routing/RoutingSystemService/
    .

  2. Click the RoutingSystemService Capture Diagnostics link.

  3. Select the data you want to capture.

    Note that the more information captured, the larger the archived files will be; indexes and application server logs are particularly large, but are also extremely important information sources. Capture only the necessary information, and be sure that your deployment share has enough space.

  4. Click Capture. The files are zipped together and saved in your deployment share directory.

Once the archives are no longer needed, you can delete the files to save space.
