The second element defined in the schema is the actor-chain, which identifies a series of actors to execute. The actor-chain can contain actor one or more actors that include or output elements.

An actor-chain contains the following:

Defines the chain-id. This attribute is used during the XML combination process, as well as to identify the chain to execute.

Provides transaction demarcation for the chain. For information on the supported transaction demarcation types, refer to the ATG Repository Guide. The default value is TX_SUPPORTS.

Note: If you are creating REST MVC Web Service calls it is important to note that Profile and Order-related form handlers require that the transaction not be defined prior to executing.

An actor-chain can have one or more actors that include output elements.

You can use the Dynamo Server Admin to review actors, actor-chains and their attributes.
