Rack Installation Instructions
This section provides instructions for placing the server into a rack using the shelf rail
assembly in the rackmount kit.
The Oracle Server X5-8 does not have slide rails. Once it is installed in the rack, you
cannot slide it out without uninstalling it. However almost all components can be accessed
from the front or back, so uninstalling it is seldom necessary.
Note -
In this guide, the term rack means either an open rack or a closed cabinet.

Review the compatibility requirements for your rack.

Unpack the server and inventory the contents.
|
|
|
Install the shelf rails and back mounting brackets.
|
|
|
Add or remove shipping brackets (optional)
|
|
|
Install the server into a rack.
