While Mike and Sheila develop the business and presentation logic, Pat creates the schema for the database to support the functionality of the applications.

Pat uses the graphic modeling tools in Oracle9i Designer to determine and develop the requirements and design for the database schema.

Then powerful transformers in Designer create the company’s databases, with tables, columns, indexes, and referential integrity constraints. The components that Mike creates will also directly reuse the table structure generated from Designer.

Designer also integrates with Forms Developer to support the reiterative design process for developing new applications from scratch or for migrating from legacy applications.
