Installing Siebel Server for PIMSI Dispatcher

This topic describes how to install Siebel Enterprise Server software on the computer that will host the PIMSI Dispatcher server component.

This task is a step in Process of Installing SSSE in a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Environment, Process of Installing SSSE in a Microsoft Exchange 2003 Environment, and Process of Installing SSSE in a Microsoft Exchange 2007 Environment.

The installation of Siebel Enterprise Server software for PIMSI Dispatcher must have the following characteristics:

• The PIMSI Dispatcher must be installed on a computer running a supported version of Microsoft Windows.

  For information on supported operating system platforms, see System Requirements and Supported Platforms on Oracle Technology Network.

• Install and configure the Siebel Server software components as follows:
  • Select the Custom installation type and make sure that PIM Server Integration is selected for installation.
  • Select the Object Manager Component.
  • Choose a language that is supported for SSSE.

  • After the installation of files is complete, continue following prompts to configure the Siebel Server software components.
